An ancient Convent in the heart of Tuscany
The San Bartolomeo Convent is a historic house situated in the medieval village of Piancastagnaio ,perched on the slopes of Mount Amiata, the largest lava dome in Tuscany.
The Ricci Barbini family took care of this precious inheritance and brought it back to its former glory in 2008.

Our bedrooms
Thanks to the meticulous restoration work completed in 2008, which left the original complex of the thirteenth century unchanged, San Bartolomeo Convent contains 13 unique rooms, elegantly furnished with period pieces. All the Convent bedrooms, each with its own special history, have en suite bathrooms with showers installed.
