The restaurant at the Convento San Bartolomeo, located in the ancient refectory where the friars shared their meals for centuries, offers traditional Tuscan dishes, reinterpreted with contemporary taste. Our chef has created a menu that celebrates the excellence of the territory, respecting the local raw materials. The meats, the undisputed protagonists of Tuscan cuisine, come from farms in the surrounding hills, while the vegetables are harvested following the natural rhythm of the seasons.
The Cloister
Each dish is freshly prepared and served, accompanied by a selection of wines. Our menu emphasizes the best Tuscan producers to allow guests to complete their gastronomic journey with pairings that enhance every nuance of the dishes.

The Cloister
An ancient medieval door introduces the enchanted atmosphere of the cloister, which also houses the ancient stone well.
The cloister space, characterized by elegant Ionic style colonnades, is the heart of the Convento San Bartolomeo and connects the outdoor spaces, namely the garden and the belvedere, to the indoor spaces, suchas the Sala Capitolare and the Sala del Refettorio.

The Refectory Room
A dinner in our restaurant is a sensory journey, where the pleasure of dining blends with the spirituality of the place. The dining room still retains the aura of exclusivity that characterizes the entire structure. The walls, silent guardians of centuries of history, are embellished with original 15th century frescoes: dining here means immersing oneself in an experience that goes beyond a simple meal.
The Friars’ Garden
During the summer the garden area, surrounded by ancient walls, is the perfect place for an outdoor aperitif or to enjoy moments of pure relax in the silence of nature, under the shadow of the big walnut tree, in a space that preserves the flavor of the ancient “friars’ garden”.
The garden has in factkeptits original structure. From here a small and discreet little door opens directly into the square overlooking the adjacent church.
It is a moment of connection with history, with the territory and with a centuries-old culinary tradition that continues to evolve and surprise, while keeping its authentic character intact.
