Indoors

immersed in a place of magic and tradiotion

The Refectory (Dining Hall)

The Refectory is the most spacious room within the whole complex: here fifteenth-century and Renaissance frescoes keep company with features belonging to the Napoleonic period. The area of the Refectory is 70 square metres. It can sit 66 to 86 guests, depending on the way the tables are arranged.

The Chapter Hall

A series of monochrome frescoes, dating back to the end of the fourteenth century, characterises the Chapter Hall which overlooks the Cloister in an attractive continuum of medieval and Renaissance features.
The area of the Chapter Hall is 40 square metres.

The Saints’ Hall

With its high stone vaults the Saints’ Hall has a double view over the Cloister and the Belvedere, and is connected to two spacious adjacent rooms as well as to the professional kitchen. The area of the Saints’ Hall is 39 square metres, becoming 84 square metres if we take both adjacent rooms into account.

Salette del Ristoro – Breakfast Rooms

Characterised by brick barrel vaults, the Salette del Ristoro housed the friars’ kitchens, including its old stone oven which is still in use. It is here that breakfast is served and elegant coffee breaks set up.
The area is 90 square metres for the three adjoining rooms.

The Wine Cellar

Guests are welcomed into the evocative atmosphere of the ancient Cellar, furnished with vintage barrels, by an attractive fresco brought to light during the restoration.

From this room, thirty-three stone steps lead to a cave carved in the volcanic rock with its own little water spring. A constant temperature of  9°C all year round makes it perfect for wine storage, but above all it is the ideal spot for wine tastings, which can be scheduled on request.
