The “Convento San Bartolomeo” is an historical convent located on Mount Amiata in Tuscany (Siena province): it is a magical place for travellers seeking exclusive and unique location and a base for special Tuscan experiences. The structure dating back to the thirteenth century preserves much of the ancient splendor with perfectly restored halls and original frescoes. 17 charming rooms, a wide garden, a panoramic pool and fascinating indoor and outdoor corners.

Located close to uncontaminated woods of Monte Amiata and small medieval villages, the Convento is close to the beautiful Orcia Valley, Unesco World Heritage, offering outdoor activities like trekking and biking tours. We have 5 Suite, one of them is a family suite with 2 double bedrooms each one with private bathroom and large sitting room. Our suite Prestige has a King bed and an in- room jacuzzi. 8 double classic bedrooms each one with its own style and charm. Finally we have 4 single bedrooms, the former cells of the friars, with French bed and view over the cloister.

The Convent of San Bartolomeo is an ideal wedding location, perfect to make the most important day of your life unique, which you can celebrate in the adjacent church or inside the complex. A fascinating location for a special wedding, capable of combininng intimacy, joy and involvement. In our structure you can turn your special day into a fairy tale!
Wedding lunch or dinner in the Cloister or in one of the indoor rooms. Cut of the cake and following party in the Friars’ Orchard.

RICH BUFFET BREAKFAST
The rich buffet breakfast with home made cakes and high level local cold cuts and cheeses, is served in the dedicated cozy rooms on the ground floor or, during the warmer season, in the courtyard under the shade of a big and old walnut tree.
LUNCH AND DINNER
Light lunch with different salads, fresh mozzarella and local excellent cold cuts and cheese is served every day, as well as dinner served in the splendid 14th century refectory room, or outside by the panoramic garden in the summer.
POOL & HOT TUB
A brand-new swimming pool facing the valley is now available for our guests. It is open all year around, its water being heated in the winter.
SPA & MASSAGES
Relaxing area with large hot tub and Sauna, in exclusive use for 2 people. Massages and treatements are available on request.
OTHER SERVICES
- Local fine wine tastings can be organized in our old wine cellar or directly to the wine producer’s
